Aja is a true Floridian who has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, but has always pursued her writing interests. In addition to AP Photo News, she copy-writes and co-edits for an informational pet magazine, TAME Pet Mag. Joy Blakeslee M.A., Ed., joins apphotonews.com as a Writer.
She is a writer and former educator in the NYC Public School System and adult education. Joy served as staff of the Bronx Historical Society, Bronx, NY., as the caretaker and main tour guide of Poe Cottage, the last home of Edgar Allan Poe. In this position she had an opportunity to meet writers and artists and direct them to the proper sources for project research. For many years, Joy researched and wrote on history and human rights. Her biography of Adhe Tapontsang, Ama Adhe: The Voice that Remembers, has been published in twelve languages, and led to Mrs. Tapontsang’s invitation to testify before the U.S. Congress. Susan Chenoweth, M.S., Ed. joins apphotonews.com as a Writer.
Susan has education degrees from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame and Purdue University, Susan was instantly attracted to our organization. As a former school principal, Susan now works with Exceptional Students during the day and adults in the evening at a local State College. From writing multi-million dollar grants to school parent newsletters, Susan enjoys the challenge of writing to all audiences.
